ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

The department of Mechanical Engineering functioning since inception of the Institution comprises various modern Laboratories and Workshops in order to cater the need of the students undergoing the B. Tech program. The Laboratories such as Applied Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Engineering, Material Testing, Hydraulic Machine, Machine Dynamics, Production Engineering and Internal Combustion Engine etc. adorn the pride of the Department. The workshop has equipped with modern machine tools and operative charts. The Laboratories have been well equipped with necessary equipment and machineries of latest generation which give insight to the students for future technological support in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Students are trained by highly skilled laboratory technicians to perform the jobs, such as, welding, molding, designing, fitting, shaping, cleaning, grinding, testing etc, so as to make them competent to face the challenges in the Job-market. The Department has one UG program (B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering), one PG program (M. Tech in Production Engineering. The department also offers the PhD program. The department is devoted to quality teaching, outstanding research and development activities with its highly qualified faculty members.

B Tech in Computer Science with emphasis on Digital Transformation Technologies, is mainly focused on building a strong foundation in mathematical and algorithmic concepts. It has a strong industry linkage to make students industry-ready. It also includes sufficient depth of knowledge in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) for those interested in higher studies. B Tech in Computer Science with emphasis on Digital Transformation Technologies at REC also offers adequate flexibility to students to pursue their own interests through electives and projects.
