The Entrepreneurship cell of REC, Bhubaneswar is a group consisting of the students of REC, Bhubaneswar committed to fostering the entrepreneurial spirit among the students. It gives a platform in terms of seed-funding, incubation, mentoring, training, knowledge dissemination and best practice research to convert path breaking business ideas in to self-sustaining business ventures. The Entrepreneurship cell of REC, BBSR is passionately committed to promote entrepreneurial spirit among each and every individual of this nation. It helps students in going for an alternative career options through different programmes, events, activities which are conducted by the ED cell in collaboration with EDII, IIC. ED cell being one of the most active cells of REC, Bhubaneswar has been shortlisted for inspection for the project named Pradhan Mantri Yuva Yojana (PMYUVA) (Formerly Konown as UDYAMITA) which is a centrally sponsored Scheme being administered by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt of India. REC has always encouraged and supported Entrepreneurship and has worked towards providing a conducive environment for its student to explore Opportunities and pursue Entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneurship Cell has been established on the campus with the objective of encouraging students to develop skills and knowledge to become successful Entrepreneurs and also to create Entrepreneurial Leaders of tomorrow. It is an organization driven by the faculty and students, dedicated to the cause of promoting entrepreneurship among the students in particular and the community at large. The E-Cell has been constantly undertaking activities to ignite the young minds and to be able to contribute through community development program me. The cell is committed to encourage students into driving and thinking entrepreneurially and to explore entrepreneurship as a career option and way of life.
To provide a platform for the upcoming entrepreneurs to present the innovative ideas, seek the guidance of Mentors, listen to the success stories of successful leaders and entrepreneurs, and interact closely with alumni entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. The mission of the cell is to help create an Eco- System in the campus which is focused on opportunity creation and value enhancement by providing and facilitating the necessary knowledge, skills and networks to be successful as Entrepreneurs.
