Life at the institute is more than just classes and homework. Community members pride themselves on their curricular and extra- curricular work in the arts, athletics and more. Whether it's taking part in a living group or taking time to learn new dance mores, Institute has life no boundaries.

Hostel

The college offers excellent hostel facilities with in- house messing services for boys and girls separately. The students intending to stay inside the campus are given priority in hostel accommodation. Apart from lodging facilities, the campus hostel is provided with internet service, indoors and out door games and other entertainment facilities. The borders are strictly guided by the hostel superintendents to maintain study hours and no student is allowed to stay out of hostel after 7 PM without prior permission of the hostel superintendent. Hostels are monitored by the Principals and the Directors, so that the academic discipline and the personal discipline become a way of life for the young budding engineers.

Health Center

The institute health center stated working as a medical care unit in 2009 for students. The health care right from its inception has been to provide comprehensive health care i.e preventive curative and primitive services under one roof to students only.

Central Library

The central library is one of the important central facilities of the institute. Currently has 96000 volumes including test book, reference books, conference proceeding, back volumes, standards and non book material such as CD-ROMs audio tapes, video tapes, slides. The library also subscribes to about 414 current periodicals. All the operation of the library is automated with the help of an integrated library s/w package. There is also another PG library available for the students of MCA and MBA.

Computer Center

The computer center of the Raajdhani Engineering College was established with the objective of providing computational environment for the academic and research community of the institute and also caters to the computational needs of Govt. organization, Industries in India and the south East Asian countries. The center offer training and software development apart from being a support service for the faculty, students and staff.

Sports

The sports office makes all effort to encourage students for participating in sports by organizing and controlling different sports and related event, development maintenance of sports infrastructure on the campus and also controlling the participation of students on the extra murals etc.
The sports complex has a sports stadium with office, a yoga hall, weight lifting and power lifting hall and space for games like cricket, football, athletics and volleyball, apart from facilities for fitness and games at the sports complex the sports equipment is also available in each of the hostels which has indoor games like Table Tennis, chess and carom.
The Institute has an Incentive and Reword scheme in which outstanding student players are rewarded with cash, track suit and blazer for securing top positions as and for representing state and country.

Transportation

Raajdhani Engineering College possesses its own fleet of newly purchased luxury buses to carry its students from different corner of city. Bus fee is charged semester wise but for the full year. In order to facilitate the student living in other states, a concessional railway facility is also available with the office of Registrar, Raajdhani Engineering College, Bhubaneswar.

Personality Growth & Development

In order to improve confidence level of the students, apart from regular curricular teaching the following training programmes are organized round the year with experts in the field.

  • Spoken English classes by well trained expert faculties
  • Developing software programmes by imparting training on C, C++, Java, Dot.net, Oracle, CCNA.
  • Students of Mechanical and Electrical branch are provided with Auto Cad training programme by the experts in the field.
  • Group Discussions and mock interviews are carried out regularly.
  • Students are encouraged to present papers as well as participate in Seminars and Conferences organized in house as well as by outside colleges.

    The annual cultural events organized by REC unfolds the hidden talents among the students and inculcates the spirit of competition among them.

    Parent Teacher Cell

    The college has unique system of associating the parents and guardians in improving the teaching learning process. The parents invited periodically for interaction on the performance of their ward. This interaction takes place in the group of teachers where individual attention is focused to improve the performance and discipline of the students. The parents are informed with the attendance status and performance record of the students in internal exams from time to time. No stone is left unturned for all round development of the students.
